Does anyone use one? I am looking at a Roland VersaStudio BN-20, but it has a price tag of about $8000.00, a little out of my budget.

I want to be able to do one or two color window decals and full color decals/stickers, but I want to be able to do a dozen or two at a time.

      Thoughts…?

I work at an experiential marketing firm now with heavy focus on in-house printing/cutting/fabrication. I will ask on Monday. Take a look at the work we do:  https://www.experiencepinpoint.com

Thanks, I can get a vinyl printer cutter for cheaper but I want to do full color decals, etc. With a vinyl printer cutter, I would be kind of limited to one color, or I would have to layer each color.

This is a video of the VersStudio BN-20, it may explain more of what I am trying to do. I looked at a Cricut but that again is a vinyl cutter. I may just have to suck it up and pay the price for it but wanted to find out if there is alternative that won’t break the bank.

Thanks Mike, let me know what you find out…!

ebay has listings for some, you can save a couple grand, but used… also maybe try your local craigslist for printing places going out of business.

Yea, it is sweet, perfect for what I want to do and doesn’t take up too much room…

I’m not a huge fan of ebay, bought stuff in the past and some items were broken, scratched up, etc…I will check craigslist though…good idea, thanks man…

Found some refurbished units, might want to google the companies or maybe you’ve heard of them:

Here at the office we use: Cutter Plotter: 64” Mutoh ValueJet Multi-Purpose Cutting Plotter
      • Custom cut out any shape, text or logo from printed or solid color adhesive vinyl
      • After the cutting is complete, the unwanted vinyl gets weeded away and transfer tape is applied to the wanted vinyl to help adhere the graphics to the desired substrate

There are smaller models all the way down to 24″ and they may be what you are looking for. Not sure we are using for the same application/end result as you.
