I’m a Digital Director aka “web guy” with 20 years of hands-on experience and a keen eye for the ever changing digital landscape. Polished and professional, but I don’t take myself too seriously. I do what it takes to get the job done and I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty!

I came online in 1997 because I wanted to syndicate my hand-drawn cartoons. This turned into Internet classic Cloud10.org. It went from still cartoons to Flash to video. We started a show, we were nuts. It was fun! This was followed by Bakermedia where the community forum aspect ballooned to over 100,000 users but was flawed in that I had no idea how to manage the volume of people that joined. I closed the forum in 2009 to focus on WordPress website development, social media, live broadcasting/podcasting and learning the ins-and-outs of digital marketing.

During this time I went on to work with 100’s of local businesses, notable names in entertainment, agencies and brands. After almost 17 years I recently left my home office and joined a team of creatives and fabricators as Digital Director of Pinpoint Promotions, an experiential marketing agency.

I have been patiently waiting for the right time and the right motive to host a new community. Michael Baker Digital is the grown-up version of the old days. Many of us have kids now. We’re professionals but can’t take the overwhelming, spammy, political and dramatic nature of large social networks. They’re polluted. Let’s get together and share what we’ve all learned, what we love and while we’re at it let’s have some good laughs.

The Core of this Community are digital professionals and enthusiasts that don’t take themselves too seriously.

My hobbies are building and fostering fun, educational and engaging online communities, motion graphics, social media and staying educated and on the edge of creative technology.I still doodle and draw cartoons. I laugh hard, often at videos and posts across social media. I trail run, lift and jump around my basement doing Beachbody on-demand. I’m big on clean eating and love to sip Scotch. I’m also a 200hr registered Yoga teacher and co-owner of a local yoga studio with my wife. I love being a very hands on Dad and introducing my kids to S.T.E.A.M., physical fitness & nutrition, all things Disney and humor maybe just a tad beyond their years.
