June 12, 2018 at 8:50 pm #1776Mike BakerKeymasterThis was not an easy one but I got it sorted. I don’t know how they got in but they placed several files. The last one was:
wp-lib.php stuck in the wp-content/plugins directory and had encrypted code or “obfuscated” code:

June 6, 2018 at 4:04 pm #1772Mike BakerKeymaster[quote quote=1771]Yea, still working on that lol, been so focused on the other pages that I forgot it still had the old demo stuff on it. Hey, I like how the Social Media icons are at the top of the page for that bakery, how can I do something like that? Is that something that has to be done by CSS…?[/quote]
Ask da Google: X Theme Social media icons header
You have to have links to social platforms in X settings then enable social icons in the header

June 6, 2018 at 1:09 am #1766Mike BakerKeymasterI’d really begin to dig into their support forums and Google. Ask things very specific and chances are someone has had the issue. For the slider revolution, you caa insert it as an element within Cornerstone to any band, column etc. Make sure you set what ever container its in (Row and Column and Section) to have 0 padding if you want it to fill the screen.
I don’t use Contact Form 7 – I use Jotform for all of my forms. I find it to be the best service out there for email forms.

Graphics are a little chunkier than we’re used to, but reviewers are raving. The future is here:

But what do we do to play? Does everyone need the same stuff? (Like controllers and whatnot?)

May 25, 2018 at 12:16 pm #1737Mike BakerKeymasterHere’s the thing you have to appreciate is that you got a full blown CMS with a store up and running in 2 weeks. If you had to hand code this functionality OR pay for it it would be impossible. WordPress is an ongoing always evolving skill, so don’t get frustrated. That quote was probably from some coding nerd that thinks everyone can just code all the things from scratch.

May 24, 2018 at 12:25 pm #1719Mike BakerKeymasterIn “Edit Page” mode set the template to FULL WIDTH HEADER & FOOTER, then use cornerstone for the rest. Once you use cornerstone never edit the code side of a page or post or you will lose your work

May 23, 2018 at 7:56 pm #1712Mike BakerKeymasterThe Oculus GO https://www.oculus.com/go/ looks like it might be perfect for me – a “prosumer” but not avid user. They disconnected it from the wires too – big deal for me

May 23, 2018 at 7:54 pm #1711Mike BakerKeymaster[quote quote=1710]So how did you change the background color around the logo and menu on that bakery site, the brown color? I have tried CSS, looking in cornerstone, everywhere and I can’t find out where to change the default white color.[/quote]
When logged in click CUSTOMIZE in the header – then the various “stacks” have different defaults and you can adjust as needed

May 23, 2018 at 1:38 am #1707Mike BakerKeymaster[quote quote=1706]I already had help with support with the name servers. I had no idea what CNAME and A record was…lol…so the guy walked me through it. So now I need to set up the SSL, which I thought I got a free one with WP Engine, but I guess not. What would you recommend for that? A certain company, a free one?
Anyway, thanks Mike for all your help so far, I have more questions to come so be ready…!!![/quote]
Yes a free one comes with the individual plan. On the left of the admin panel in WPEngine is an ssl option.
You will need to have them help you edit the database to update to https (it’s in 2 places in the WP_Options table siteurl & home) and they will help or probably just do it for you.

May 22, 2018 at 9:09 pm #1704Mike BakerKeymasterIt’s like there is so much of it out there that why even bother. Like if I google racy pics it’s all there. If I type in gigantic natural boobs, bam. So I say if it’s necessary for some kind of point or *cough* photoshop contest than fine but side tit for the sake of side tit not really necessary.
However, If it’s just so incredibly exceptional and you must share by all means go for it
