I used to be able to sit down and rip out a page or two with old school HTML in no time at all.

April 26, 2018 at 4:33 pm #1575Imax68ParticipantYea, that’s exactly what I am thinking about doing, a simple and easy to navigate site to sell products and draw in business. I probably couldn’t afford you, lol, but any recommendations on putting together something like that would be appreciated…!
Thanks Mike, blab away!

April 26, 2018 at 4:21 pm #1571Imax68ParticipantWell, what I want to do is create unique shirt designs as well other garments and sell them online, also do company, family reunion, special event shirts/garments/canvas bags, etc…whether it be local companies or other companies around the country. I thought I would give etsy a try as well as an e-commerce site, set up a merchant account to be able to take credit cards, etc…
I have a brand that I am in the middle of trademarking that I want sell and possibly draw in business and also fund other shirt ideas. So I guess a store front would be a good idea.
Also, what is a good company, I have had Go Daddy in the past but I’m sure there are better hosting companies out there now for a much better price.
Thanks Mike, do you have a link for that video?

In reply to: Fonts and Licenses…
April 13, 2018 at 3:38 pm #1461Imax68Participantyea, so far I have been lucky with the designs that I have done with downloaded fonts…but there are those rare occasions. I just don’t want to get nailed over a customers design that I screen print. I just had a lady yesterday ask me for a quote for some shirts, and I looked up the font that she used and it wasn’t a free commercial use. I asked her if she had bought the extended/commercial use license to use the font and she responded with “no, isn’t that your job”…lol…so I responded with, “i can do that, sure, I will just add it to the quote”, haven’t heard back from her…There are a lot of screen printers who nab designs off the internet and use them without paying for them, I get my designs from stock photo websites and buy the extended/commercial license so I can print and sell them.
I did happen to find a website that has free commercial use of fonts, a few ask for donations, usually around $5, but most are free for commercial use.

February 28, 2018 at 4:25 pm #581Imax68ParticipantYea, it is sweet, perfect for what I want to do and doesn’t take up too much room…
I’m not a huge fan of ebay, bought stuff in the past and some items were broken, scratched up, etc…I will check craigslist though…good idea, thanks man…

February 25, 2018 at 6:27 pm #547Imax68ParticipantThanks, I can get a vinyl printer cutter for cheaper but I want to do full color decals, etc. With a vinyl printer cutter, I would be kind of limited to one color, or I would have to layer each color.
This is a video of the VersStudio BN-20, it may explain more of what I am trying to do. I looked at a Cricut but that again is a vinyl cutter. I may just have to suck it up and pay the price for it but wanted to find out if there is alternative that won’t break the bank.
Thanks Mike, let me know what you find out…!
In reply to: I “cut the cord” with YoutubeTV and Chromecast. From well over $200/mo to $90/mo
February 24, 2018 at 6:38 pm #519Imax68ParticipantWe need our high speed internet as well, since both of us work from home. Our cable bill for tv alone is around $80 per month and I don’t even watch half the channels. My wife’s biggest concern is will the data usage go up. I will do some more digging.
Thanks Mike…

February 23, 2018 at 7:55 pm #502Imax68ParticipantI have been considering this option as well, we do love our live TV though.
How is the live TV?
What about data usage? Have you noticed your usage increase, if so, how much of an increase?
In total, how much did you spend on cutting the cord?
